We feel so honored to be asked to build a home of this significance. This 5600 sq ft pueblo revival adobe features 24" thick adobe walls, and with the exception of the antique tin ceiling in the formal dining room, viga and beam ceilings throughout.
This home has flagstone, saltillo, and reclaimed oak floors. It also has four adobe rumford fireplaces and hand plastered walls throughout the home. The professional appliances compliment Classic New Mexico Home's hand built cabinetry in the kitchen.
Just a few of the green features include not only reclaimed vigas and beams, but also sustainably harvested, dead stand vigas and beams, reclaimed oak flooring, one hundred year old doors, and a reclaimed tin ceiling. Polyurethane foam cocoons the entire building envelope. This home also has a grey water system, underground return air ducts with 19 seer condenser units, Taos blue colored, energy efficient, aluminum clad wood windows, a solar venting system, and of course, the 24" thick adobe walls.
All of this in the high desert of La Jolla del Monte subdivision, with unobstructed views of the spectacular Organ Mountains.
Nearly two years in the planning stages, this home stands as a tribute to our New Mexico heritage, architecture, and culture.
